THE GALLERY

MaOchre Gallery is an Indigenous owned and operated art gallery operating on Noongar Boodja, located in the heart of Midland, Western Australia.

MaOchre was founded in 2022 by professional Aboriginal artist Arron Yarran; Warrajirri-Yarra. Warrajirri-Yarra is a well reknowned, skilled and respected artist both in Australia and abroad.

MaOchre Indigenous Art Gallery offers a range of authentic Aboriginal art pieces, provides creative and inclusive workshops through the Circle Learning Space, and hosts various events and exhibitions.

OUR MISSION

To create a transformative space that celebrates Indigenous art and culture, serving as a catalyst for connectivity, understanding, and respect between cultures. By showcasing the captivating artwork of Arron, Warrajirri-Yarra, and amplifying the voices of Indigenous artists, both emerging and established, we aim to empower Indigenous individuals and communities, foster cultural reclamation, and inspire dialogue. We envision a future where Indigenous art enhances community employment opportunities, promotes growth and creativity, and instils a sense of pride and identity.
